Red Lion has been appointed by prescription skincare brand Uncouth to support its consumer launch. Uncouth was founded by Dr Emma Horton, who received investment from BrewDog’s James Watt after making it to the final of his Next Unicorn competition in June. She set up Uncouth from her home in Leeds after identifying a gap in the skincare market. Through her job as a dermatology specialist doctor, she saw the impact that common skin conditions were having on the everyday lives and mental wellbeing of her patients.
Uncouth founder Emma Horton said “Red Lion’s enthusiasm for the brand and our mission shone in the pitch, and we are looking forward to seeing what they can do”. Red Lion’s managing director Corinna Field says “Uncouth stood out to us as a brand ripping up the rulebook when it comes to skincare. We’re excited to show Emma the power of PR”.
