ScottishNews.com has announced the appointment of Paul Trainer as its new Content Editor as the publication prepares for a major relaunch later this summer as a video-led, pan-Scottish digital news platform.
Paul will also be working with the event portfolio side of the business, including the Scottish Home Awards, Scottish Property Awards, Scottish Whisky Awards, Scottish Gin Awards and Scottish Bar and Pub Awards. And will be developing content and events for Glasgowist.
He joins ScottishNews.com from GlasgowWorld, where he played a key role in delivering local news and audience-focused journalism. He brings extensive experience in digital publishing, newsroom leadership and multimedia storytelling.
The relaunch will see ScottishNews.com evolve into a modern, video-first news brand serving audiences across Scotland with a mix of breaking news, entertainment, food and drink, politics, business, sport, lifestyle and current affairs content.
