Refinery29 has appointed Simone Oliver as its new global editor-in-chief. Simone joins from Facebook and Instagram where she served in the Global Media Partnerships team. At Refinery29 Simone will oversee content and editorial teams across the US, London and Berlin. Simone has also held editorial roles at Condé Nast and The New York Times. 

Simone announced her appointment on Instagram saying that she was excited and proud to be joining the Refinery29 team; she will commence her new role from 30 September.
