International fashion retailer, Primark has announced plans to open its first store in the Hungarian capital, Budapest. The first Primark store in this new market will be located in one of the city's largest shopping centres, Arena Mall and is expected to open in Primark’s next financial year (16 September 2023 – 15 September 2024).

The new Budapest store will offer customers everyday essentials at great value prices across womenswear, menswear, kidswear, beauty, lifestyle and homeware. The store will also feature a wide selection of licensing ranges, such as NBA and Disney, in addition to Primark’s growing Primark Cares label, as part of Primark’s ambition to make more sustainable fashion affordable for everyone.

The retailer’s expansion into Hungary demonstrates Primark’s continued investment and commitment to the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, following successful store openings across Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, and most recently Romania.
