Pinterest has released its first-ever beauty trend report, highlighting a shift towards specificity in beauty. People are searching not just for a bob, but a textured French bob; not just a red manicure, but a dark-red cat-eye manicure.

Among weekly Pinterest users, 85% say they discovered new beauty trends or ideas on Pinterest before seeing them elsewhere, while 64% say Pinterest is better for discovering beauty trends that feel up to date.

This season’s beauty ideas run from frosted metallics to nostalgic scents; copper and cherry-cola hair; and lips, nails and scents that take a cue from autumn’s cosiest pleasures, from coffee-shop comforts to orchard fruits and bakery-worthy gloss.
