Pinterest has published a festive holiday planning guide for 2025.

  • Shoppers will be more selective about their purchases
  •  46% of Pinterest users start creating gift lists as early as October
  • They also spend 36% more on the holidays than people who don’t use Pinterest
  • 69% of weekly Pinners are open to trying new brands for the festive season
  • 7 in 10 monthly Pinterest users create holiday wish lists for later
  • Across Pinterest, click-based conversions are up 51% year-on-year
  • During the festive season, 10 new boards are created per second on Pinterest.

Steps to seasonal success:

Prep:

  • Upload your product catalogue to ensure that your product Pins are ready for shopping ads
  • Use the Pinterest tag to track important actions such as checkouts, sign-ups and add-to-basket events
  • Decide what you want to measure - then explore Pinterest's tools to help get you started.

Test:

  • Run ads against different goals to see what is working, and where to optimise before November and December
  • Turn on Pinterest Performance+ before the festive season so AI and automation have time to learn and boost campaign performance
  • Play with formats such as quiz, collection or carousel ads to find out which delivers the best engagement for your audience.

Optimise:

  • Create urgency with timely promotions to help capture shoppers’ attention and boost conversions
  • Stand out with Premiere Spotlight placements. These ads help you to reach high-intent audiences during peak shopping moments
  • Keep the momentum going. Switch some campaigns back to awareness and consideration objectives for a Q5 push.
