Pinterest has partnered with music festival Coachella. In partnership with Coachella, Pinterest has announced this festival season’s top beauty and fashion trends, as predicted by its expert trend forecasters and based on user search data.

Insights:

• Pinterest searches for “Coachella aesthetic outfit” are up 769% since last year, and 20% of Gen Z weekly users cite “planning and shopping for new outfits” as one of the top three things they enjoy most about attending the festivals.
• Pinterest users start searching for Coachella inspiration on the platform as early as January, and Gen Z accounts for 45% of all Coachella-related searches.

Top festival trends for 2025:

Freestyle Fits

• Baggy, bold and certified gold: it’s a throwback to the Y2K streetwear era for Coachella. Serving up looks inspired by hip-hop and R&B, vintage jerseys and camo shorts are the moment.

Stereo Punk

• Crust punk jackets and all-leather everything, as well as plaid skirts, chain belts and Mohawk braids.

Dark Ethereal

• Dark angel meets forest fairy in this supernatural trend. Flowing silhouettes, sheer-on-sheer styling, lace, moody-hued velvet, stacked chokers and layered jewellery.

Urban Wrangler

• Worn-in boots and bolo ties paired with tons of tattoos.

Main Pop Girl

• Princess pinks, full glam and bombshell curls that scream “diva”. 

Twee Aesthetic

• Dreamy pastels, florals inspired by vintage wallpaper and the return of the Peter Pan collar. 

Pastel Goth

• Dark academia x bubblegum pink mashup. Pretty pastels and platform boots, with a sprinkle of skull and cross accessories for that extra gothic twist.
