Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) has released voluntary guidelines on fur use during Milan Fashion Week shows, starting with the September 2026 edition.

The guidelines invite brands participating in Milano Fashion Week not to show garments, accessories or items made with animal fur during the shows.

CNMI will not promote fur in its direct communication content production.

The guidelines reflect an international trend, where fashion weeks have adopted policies on fur use while maintaining brands' creative and business autonomy in line with Italian and European legislation.
