London, Paris and Milan have announced the cancellation of its 2020 Men's Fashion Season, in light of the current Covid-19 pandemic.
The British Fashion Council has released the following statement regarding London Fashion Week Men's:
"In light of the current situation, the British Fashion Council (BFC) confirms that LFWM June 2020 will not take place as a physical event. As a response to the global crisis, BFC is looking at new ways to digitalise their fashion showcase platforms and embrace the cultural commentary and creativity that British fashion and London, as a global multi-cultural city are so known for." BFC will announce a full statement at the end of the week.
Paris Fashion Week Men's Fashion and Haute Couture Week have been cancelled following the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Board of Directors of the Haute Couture and Fashion Federation announced that the conditions for the event were not met and the fashion shows scheduled for June would not be able to take place.
Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana (CNMI) has also announced that the Milano Moda Uomo (Milan Men's Fashion) week will no longer go ahead. It will, however, take place concurrently with the Milano Moda Donna (Milan Women's Fashion) in September 2020. CNMI has said that it is working on a new digital format and new ways of showcasing the Men's Fashion Week.
