Max Mara returns to fragrance for the first time in over a decade with new Shiseido partnership
Date posted on DIARY directory: Tuesday 1st September 2026
Shiseido has launched Max Mara Le Parfum, the first fragrance developed under its partnership with Max Mara. The fragrance was introduced through select retail partners across North America and Europe from 24 August, before rolling out from 1 September across 50+ markets worldwide.
The launch marks a milestone in the partnership announced in 2024, combining Max Mara's design codes with Shiseido's expertise in fragrance innovation, development, and global distribution.
Yaël Tuil, President Global Fragrances at Shiseido, said: "Le Parfum marks a defining milestone in the partnership between Shiseido and Max Mara. Rooted in our shared commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and innovation, this first fragrance captures the distinctive values of the House through a new olfactory and design expression."
Max Mara Le Parfum combines sandalwood and cedarwood, wrapped in tuberose absolute and complemented by vanilla. The bottle is made entirely of glass and features a lacquered belt at its centre. The fragrance is certified vegan and composed of 90% natural-origin ingredients.
In 2026, Shiseido will prioritise Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific as strategic growth markets for Max Mara Le Parfum, and in 2027, China, Japan, and Latin America.
