Vautier Communications has been appointed to handle the press and publicity for Brazilian designer and London College of Fashion alumnus Mariana Jungmann. She created her eponymous womenswear label in 2013 and her MA graduate collection was one of the ten selected to represent the college in its London Fashion Week show in February 2014. At the following season she did her solo debut show with Fashion Scout. Having as her trademark the use of Renaissance lace, every season the designer creates an imaginary lace world, which has always enchanted her. Mariana uses traditional hand-made material from the northeast region of Brazil, produced exclusively for the brand. The work with lace is not restricted to the material itself, being translated into different textiles and textures via prints and laser cutting among other methods, creating the label’s powerful visuals.
