London-based luxury shoe label Kari C. has appointed Forward PR fto handle its press and publicity. The designer, who was formerly the assistant studio manager at Alexander McQueen, has two degrees, one in business and one in fashion, and has trained at London College of Fashion, FIT in New York and finished off at the world’s most prestigious footwear college: Cordwainers. Kari’s design style is cosmopolitan, reflecting stints in Asia, North America and Europe. “I fuse various textures, bold colours, crystals and embellishments, which are characteristic of the East with sleeker silhouettes that are more apparent in the West,” says Kari. All Kari C. shoes are handmade by highly skilled artisans using the finest Italian leathers and components.
