Luxury Egyptian handmade accessory brand Okhtein has announced its launch into the UK. Founded by sisters and designers Aya and Mounaz Abdel, the brand has released three collections since 2013 and is stocked in a selection of boutiques online an throughout the Middle East. For SS15, the brand has introduced the Weaving Waves collection, collaborating with several NGOs that sponsor and support skilled female worked from disadvantaged backgrounds to design custom, handmade embroidery and straw that are incorporated in the products. The brand's products include a selection of bags and backpacks made from hand-crafted calf skin leather and available in a variety of products. Similarly, the Okhtein Minaudières range is 100% handmade carved brass, plated with 18K gold, and nickel. It also features a diffusion line, Okhtein Essentials, which has a cool, sporty aesthetic and is ideal for the gym, yoga, make-up and the beach.
