David Viramontes has been promoted from Audience Engagement Editor to Assistant Editor at the Los Angeles Times.

In his new role, David creates and manages digital strategy for the Times' Entertainment, Envelope, Lifestyle and Food verticals. He covers live events including the Oscars and Sundance. He also edits the Book Club newsletter and works with freelancers to produce biweekly emails.
