Little Red Rooster has announced that James Day is leaving his role as Metro tech editor to join its PR team as Director of New Business Development. James has 15 years’ experience as a national press journalist working across news, features, technology, showbiz, entertainment, sport, fashion, travel, health and lifestyle. He is responsible for shaping Metro’s current technology coverage having devised Connect, turning the Friday supplement into the growing newspaper’s highest read and rated section. Prior to that, James was an agency reporter, before joining ZOO and forming part of the showbiz team at LOOK. James comments: “I’ve worked with LRR over a number of years and it was obvious from the off the firm operated very differently to the hundreds of other PR firms I dealt with on a daily basis. Leaving journalism was something I never really contemplated until the idea of becoming a rooster was floated and now I’m looking forward to the buzz of getting great press coverage in an entirely different way".
