The Beacon, a purpose-driven lifestyle PR and communications agency has launched. The agency’s purpose is to shine a light for brands looking for personal, ‘in-house’ support and guidance in an increasingly complex communications landscape dominated by large agencies. The agency offers intelligent and creative solutions, working in partnership with clients to offer a wide range of services. With a core, founding team that can offer an exceptional level of ongoing service and a supporting ‘black book’ of specialists who can be called upon to rise to any challenge, The Beacon is designed to be truly agile.
The founding partners first met at The Communications Store, where they spent more than a decade working together proudly representing pioneering, best-in-class lifestyle businesses, from start-ups to household names and global brands. Having started out in the luxury, fashion and hospitality sectors respectively, their experience spans wellness & beauty, travel, fashion, interiors, F&B, beauty, placemaking, design, private banking, motoring, homeware and luxury retail.
Fiona Hemming, Founder of The Beacon, was previously the Director of the Lifestyle Division at The Communications Store, and is joined by Kate Houghton as a Founding Partner. Kate, also ex-TCS, was most recently Brand Director at ScienceMagic. Collectively, the agency has experience working with some of the world’s most prestigious brands including Tiffany & Co., The Crown Estate (Regent Street & St James’s), Gordon Ramsay Restaurant Group, Greenwich Peninsula, allbirds, GEOX, The Conran Shop, Leading Hotels of the World, Heckfield Place, Soneva, Petersham Nurseries, Rolls Royce, Genesis and MINI, to name a few.
