Meta has announced the launch of Edits - a new video creation app for creators from Instagram that makes it easier to make great videos on their phone. 

With Edits, creators now have a dedicated space with powerful capabilities for video creation, such as the ability to:

• Bringing their full creation process into one place by keeping track of ideas, managing their projects, editing and exporting watermark-free without leaving the app.
• Creating better videos with powerful tools, such as a high-quality camera, a frame-accurate timeline and effects, such as cutouts or AI-powered animation.

Posting directly to Instagram and Facebook:

• Edits will be seamlessly integrated with Instagram accounts - including profile data, analytics and inspirations. This means that they will need an Instagram account to log in to the new app and begin creating.
• Edits will also feature the ability to share directly to both Facebook and Instagram, or export and post wherever without a watermark. It will also come equipped with access to Instagram insights, so creators can better understand the performance of their content and optimise content strategy.

What's in store for Edits in the near future:

• Key frames: Pinpointing exact moments for adjustments to video's timing, motion and effects.
• Modify: Quickly changing the look and feel of videos with AI effects, using a few simple prompts.
• Collaboration: Easily sharing drafts with friends, other creators or brands for feedback and creative builds.
• More options to express creativity: More fonts, text animations, transitions, voice effects, filters and music options, including royalty-free.
