H&M has announced the return of the H&M Design Award for 2026. The award celebrates the world’s most exciting design talent, providing significant financial and mentoring support to emerging voices whose work demonstrates exceptional creativity, innovation, technical skill, and a desire to challenge convention and make sustainable choices.

After a pause in 2019, the award returns stronger than ever, reaffirming its commitment to culture, creativity and inclusivity in fashion.

The award is open for applications from Bachelor’s and Master’s fashion graduates in 2026 from 29 January.

• The application deadline is 31 August
• The semi-finalists will be announced on 8 October
• The 8 finalists will be announced on 22 October
• The winner will be selected at the end of November
• The winning collection will be launched in selected stores and on hm.com in September 2027
