Elspeth Velten has been appointed Editor-in-Chief at monthly lifestyle magazine Good Housekeeping USA.

In this role, Elspeth will oversee content strategy and editorial operations across all platforms, including the Good Housekeeping Institute and Seal. In addition to Good Housekeeping, Elspeth will also serve as Editorial Director of Prevention and Woman’s Day.

Elspeth was most recently at Dotdash Meredith, where she served as Senior Vice President and Group General Manager at Travel + Leisure and Parents. Previously, she was Associate Group General Manager for Dotdash Meredith’s Beauty & Style group and General Manager for two of the company's food brands: Serious Eats and Simply Recipes.

Elspeth succeeds Jane Francisco, who is stepping down after 12 years at the helm. She will commence her role 18 August.
