Former Slate PR founding partners Stephen Huvane, Robin Baum, Simon Halls and Andy Gelb have announced the launch of full-service public relations and communications agency Apex Public Relations.

The agency begins immediately, and follows a partnership dissolution at Slate. Fully staffed with outposts in Los Angeles and Manhattan, Apex continues the partnership that has existed through several iterations for more than 30 years.

The partners have also unveiled a new board of managing partners, comprised of company vets Guido Gotz, Lindsay Maguire, Scott Newman, Jennifer Plante, Shawn Purdy, and Megan Senior. The new board will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Apex and will be key in setting the company’s agenda for future and long-term growth.
