Elizabeth Paton, previously International Style Correspondent at The New York Times, has been appointed Fashion Editor at Financial Times, and will commence her role in August.

In this role, Elizabeth will oversee the Financial Times' coverage of fashion and style, and will write the weekly newsletter ‘Fashion Matters’. She will also curate the Business of Luxury Summit, FT's annual event that gathers some of the most influential leaders in global luxury and fashion.

Elizabeth began her career at The Sunday Times in London, and has previously worked in the FT’s New York bureau as a Corporate Reporter focused on luxury and retail. 

Elizabeth succeeds Lauren Indvik who is the newly appointed Deputy Editor of the FT’s House & Home section.
