Fashion rental platform Hirestreet has been acquired by CTR Group, the team behind Thrift+ and a growing portfolio of circular fashion businesses, founder Isabella West has announced.

Isabella founded Hirestreet after growing frustrated with buying dresses and wearing them once. The platform has since built eight years of customer data, with subscription rental identified as key to its future growth. To scale in the subscription space, Hirestreet sought the operational infrastructure that CTR Group could provide.

CTR has built a bespoke facility for Hirestreet inside its existing network, with dedicated repairs, cleaning and steaming teams, giving Hirestreet end-to-end control of its garment processing operation for the first time - backed by the same infrastructure CTR uses to process 1,500+ tonnes of stock per week.
