Dave Shaw, previously Local Marketing & Partnerships Manager at Moss Bros Group, has left the company after six years to launch his own consultancy business, Bashert Communications. A 'Drapers 30 Under 30' rising star, Dave has extensive experience in the fashion industry working with some of the best known British heritage and contemporary brands. Bashert Communications was founded to create strategic and tactical communications initiatives for both start-up and established fashion businesses. The agency has been appointed to represent heritage tailoring company Berwin & Berwin with whom it will initially develop the brand voice for Paul Costelloe Man, as well as independent tailor KG Bespoke for whom it is sourcing partners for its branded and white label made-to-measure services.
Dave, comments: ‘There has been so much talk about ‘digital’ over the past decade, but the focus has been almost solely focused on ecommerce as this has become duly established as an important revenue stream. Our high streets are however our bread and butter and there are so many opportunities to innovate by creating intersections with the digital world. Technologies such as Bluetooth, NFC or augmented reality can be utilised to enhance the indoor, in store or outdoor environment and create brand engagement. Whilst I am of course adept to traditional approaches to marketing, I would be particularly keen to speak to companies looking to explore these touchpoints in their omnichannel strategies over the coming seasons.’
