American actress Christine Evangelista has launched lingerie brand Evangelista Lingerie.
The brand draws on Catholic ritual and symbolism, reframed through a contemporary spiritual lens, challenging inherited archetypes of virgin and prostitute, sacred and profane.
Evangelista works with historic Leavers machine looms in regions including Como, Italy - machines that require time, patience and technical skill at a moment when much of the industry has shifted toward faster, automated alternatives.
