Daily Mirror has announced the appointment of Daniel Bird (pictured, here) as assistant celebrity editor, and Gabriella Ferlita as freelance celebrity & TV writer. 

Daniel Bird, currently senior showbiz & TV reporter at the Daily Star, will be covering everything celebrity-wise from Winter Love Island to the latest Harry and Meghan fiascos while at the Mirror. This will include covering events including both US and UK award shows, liaising with talent management to secure exclusives

Daniel will begin his role in February, and will be in the role for 12 months before returning back to his role at the Daily Star.

Gabriella will continue to be available for freelance commissions.
