30 March: H&M is now allowing global aid organisations, such as the Red Cross, to use its H&M social media channels. Organisations can now spread messages around health and safety and offer advice on how to help tackle the widespread effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, via H&M's social media channels.
27 March: Melissa Odabash, on Instagram, announced that the brand has turned its Italian factories into masking masks for the population and civil protection operators, approved by the Italian government.
27 March: Beauty brand UpCircle is now sending out care and pamper packages to NHS staff. As a token of gratitude and to keep spirits up, the pamper kits will be sent to anyone nominated using this link.
27 March: British Fashion Council (BFC) has launched the BFC Foundation Covid Crisis Fund, supporting creative fashion businesses and individuals to survive the Coronavirus pandemic. The BFC, through its charity the BFC Foundation, which brings all BFC charitable initiatives under one umbrella is making £1,000,000 of emergency funds available with the majority supporting designer businesses and with a portion of funds also allocated to students, underpinning the future generation of creative talent. Applications and mechanics for funding from the new BFC Foundation Covid Crisis Fund will open within the next 7 days, with applications closing on 10 April.
27 March: Victoria Beckham Beauty will be donating 20% of all sales from victoriabeckhambeauty.com and victoriabeckham.com to Feeding America and Trussell Trust. Feeding America is a nonprofit network of more than 200 food banks through the US. Trussell Trust supports a network of over 1200 food bank centres to stop UK hunger and poverty and provides emergency food and compassionate, practical support to people in crisis.
27 March: Soap brand Nuddy has announced that it is supporting communities by offering free unboxed, naked soap bars to those who cannot get hold of any themselves. So far Nuddy has donated 4000 soap bars.
27 March: Fragrance brand So...? Fragrance has announced that it will be donating thousands of its fragrance So...? Pure & Clean Body Most to the charity The Hygiene Bank.
27 March: Femcare brand DAME will be giving free organic tampons to NHS healthcare workers. Free from nasties, synthetic fibres and dyes DAME Organic Tampons are made of just one ingredient, 100% organic cotton.
26 March: Crystal-infused beauty brand LLIO will be hosting live crystal healing and reiki sessions. The brand has announced this after cancelling its meditation event. 26 March: PERFF fitness studio has announced that it is collaborating with the online community to offer content to make the best out of self-isolation, from workouts to nutritional advice. PERFF's aim is for the world to be #healthyathome during difficult times and so is uniting fitness, wellbeing and nutritional professionals with the wider community. Follow PERFF's campaign here.
25 March: HARI's Hair Salon has launched its new HARI's Hair Helpline offering a virtual video consultation service. HARI's stylists will be available for video calls over WhatsApp, ZOOM and HouseParty. Clients can book in for a 15-minute video appointment with a colour expert or stylists via email for a range of services such as how to blow-dry, master braids or how to disguise outgrown roots.
25 March: London-based social agency, Truffle, has launched Social Sessions, a new stream for creative minds to come together and collaborate. The sessions will explore innovative ways we can work together and achieve progress across a range of areas, from handling crises caused by viral panic and pandemics, to lighter subjects including female empowerment and social entertainment. 25 March: Pinterest has launched a new feature called the Today Tab. With searches for 'stay at home kids activities' up by 4,055% and 'tips for working from home' up 1,411% in the past two weeks, the new tab will be a fresh source of daily inspiration with curated topics and trending pins with expert content from the World Health Organisation and the Centres for Disease Control.
24 March: Unilever has announced that it will offer €500 million of cash flow relief to support the livelihoods across its extended value chain, through early payment for its most vulnerable small and medium-sized suppliers. This will help with financial liquidity. Unilever will also extend credit to selected small-scale retail customers whose business relies on Unilever to help them manage and protect jobs.
