Condé Nast announces portfolio restructure with Glamour, SELF and WIRED changes

Condé Nast has announced a series of strategic changes across its portfolio, including plans to wind down publishing operations for Glamour in Germany, Spain and Mexico, discontinue SELF as a standalone digital publication, and close the Italian edition of WIRED.

The announcement was made in an internal memo from CEO Roger Lynch, who noted that the company ended 2025 with revenue growth and a fourth consecutive year of profitability growth since 2020, with Q1 2026 exceeding both revenue and profitability budgets. The affected titles represent just over 1% of overall revenue.

Glamour

  • Condé Nast will concentrate Glamour's efforts in the USA and UK, focusing on fashion and beauty recommendations and prioritising social, video, commerce and licensing opportunities.
  • Publishing operations in Germany, Spain and Mexico are planned to wind down, whilst licensed editions in Brazil, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, South Africa and Australia will continue.

SELF

  • SELF will discontinue as a standalone digital publication, with health and wellness content to be integrated into other Condé Nast brands including Allure and Glamour.

WIRED Italy

  • The Italian edition of WIRED will transition away from publishing. WIRED Consulting and live events will continue across Europe, primarily managed by the WIRED UK team.

Technology organisation

  • Condé Nast's Technology organisation is being restructured to reflect the rapid advancement of AI, with teams reorganised to work more closely with brands and customers. Bangalore and Chennai will continue as key hubs.
