Fashion house CHANEL has announced the appointment of Ruth Warder as Global Chief Communications Officer, as a newly created position based in London. She will join the house in September 2025, reporting to Leena Nair, Global Chief Executive Officer, as part of the global leadership team.

Building on the strengths of CHANEL's existing global communications teams, she will continue to develop a cohesive, proactive reputation strategy and amplify CHANEL's voice as it grows its positive influence and impact in the world.

She joins CHANEL after several years of partnering with the brand and many other large multinational companies at Edelman, the global communications firm, where she was CEO UK & Ireland and EMEA Brand Chair.

Ruth spent over fifteen years of progressive success at Edelman, also serving as Chief Client Officer, General Manager and Managing Director before her most recent role. Prior to that, Ruth was Managing Director at Jackie Cooper PR and she began her career at Freud Communications.
