The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced that Caroline Rush CBE will step down as CEO in June 2025. Rush is stepping down from her role at the BFC after what will be a 16-year tenure. Rush will continue to lead the organisation while the search for her successor begins as part of the governance of the not-for-profit.

Rush joined the BFC in 2009 and has led the organisation through significant change providing a blueprint for fashion councils to support emerging talent around the world. Focused on designers, she has been instrumental in developing the pioneering world class programmes that unlock and elevate British creative talent. Its revenue has more than doubled in her tenure.

As a part of the governance of the BFC, the search for a new CEO, led by Egon Zehnder is underway.
