Blonde and Black Publicity has been appointed to handle all press, publicity and communications for new ethical footwear brand BODO (Buy One Donate One). The brand has launched with its first line of sandals, whereby the soles are made from recycled car tyres. For each pair of sandals purchased, a pair is also donated to a person in need in a developing country through the Barefoot Foundation. The brand debuts with both a men’s and women’s collection. The one-piece outer sole has been created using recycled car tyres and the inner sole also features an indented foot print for extra comfort. Retail prices are £39.99 and all items can be found online. As well as handling all press and publicity, Blonde and Black’s creative division has been involved in the creative vision for the brand from the launch, considering the PR strategy with a carefully designed fashion campaign with all images encompassing the core values of the brand.
