Trade and business publication Drapers has announced the winners of its 2015 Awards, which took place on Thursday evening at Old Billingsgate in London. New Look was named Fashion Retail Business of the Year (over £500m turnover, while Matalan founder John Hargreaves was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. Joules picked up the award for Fashion Retail Business of the Year in the £30m-£100m category and Jigsaw was highly commended. Oasis was awarded with the same honour in the £101m-£200m turnover category, while Ted Baker received the award in the £201m-£500m category. Most improved retailer was presented to Moss Bros and Oasis was highly commended. The Fashion Pure-play Etailer of the Year went to Missguided, while Fashion Retailing Personality of the Year was given to Beth Butterwick, chief executive of Bonmarché. White Stuff was selected as the Best Place to Work, while Zalando picked up the award for Best Innovation in Fashion Retail. In the brands category, Closet London was awarded the Young Fashion Brand of the Year and Orla Kiely received Premium Brand of the Year; while Mainstream Brand of the Year went to The Cambridge Satchel Company. Fashion Supplier of the Year went to the Haddow Group and Best Store Design was awarded to the House of Fraser Jolly’s of Bath store. The Best Fashion Marketing Campaign was awarded to Jigsaw for its For Life Not Landfill concept and The Consumer Choice Fashion Retailer of the Year prize went to Marks & Spencer for the third year running.
