New York-based Sharon Goldman has departed her role as AI Reporter at Fortune to launch independent media platform Ground Level AI.

Ground Level AI launches as a newsletter and podcast on Substack, featuring original, often on-the-ground reporting, exclusive interviews, and analysis of the fast-paced AI news cycle 2-3 times per week, covering AI infrastructure, enterprise deployment, security, policy and geopolitical developments through original reporting and exclusive interviews.

Sharon has spent over 25 years in journalism, including roles as staff writer, editor, reporter and fact-checker. Before joining Fortune, she covered AI at VentureBeat and ran an independent freelance business for more than a decade.

Sharon will continue to contribute to Fortune whilst building Ground Level AI.
