Fashionista has unveiled 6 trends from Copenhagen Fashion Week. Labels including Baum und Pferdgarten, Skall Studio, The Garment and OpéraSport led the way, confirming a season defined by colour and pattern-blocking, pale blue, elastic headbands, balloon trousers and mullet hems.

Bedtime story

• Pyjama dressing dominated several runways in multiple forms. The Garment focused on dressed-up sets and slips; Skall Studio offered nightgowns to take you from bed to the prairie; while Freya Dalsjø and Institution by Galib Gassanoff went more literal, with models swathed in white sheet-like fabrics.

Mullet hems

• The high/low silhouette returned across tops, dresses, and skirts. OpéraSport layered mullet pieces over capris, By Malene Birger over trousers, and Herskind over cargo pants, while The Garment doubled up on nostalgia with bubble-hem mullet gowns.

Elastic headbands

• Thick elastic headbands emerged as an alternative to the tradwife headscarf, spotted at By Malene Birger, Baum und Pferdgarten and Nicklas Skovgaard, giving a casually polished finish to a range of looks.

Balloon trousers

• Voluminous, rounded trousers with tapered hems were a consistent silhouette across the week, seen at The Garment, Baum und Pferdgarten, Gestuz, Herskind, By Malene Birger, Skall Studio and more.

Colour and pattern-blocking

• Bold, unexpected colour and pattern combinations dominated, with Nicklas Skovgaard mixing colours and ginghams, Caro Editions going all-in on 90s-tinged maximalist clashing, and Mr. Larkin blending colourful plaids with stripes. Gestuz and Baum und Pferdgarten offered sportier contrasting accents, while Munthe showed classic patchwork denim.

Pale blue

• Light blue shades continued to feel fresh despite several seasons of trending, worn head-to-toe at The Garment and Mr. Larkin, or as a pop of colour at Munthe, Gestuz, Stine Goya and OpéraSport.
