Entries are now open for the Regional Press Awards 2027, which recognise exceptional talent and outstanding achievements by individuals, teams and organisations across the UK regional and local news industry. The awards are backed by the News Media Association.

All work submitted must have been published in English between 1 October 2025 and 30 September 2026 by a news media organisation headquartered in, or extensively published within, the United Kingdom. This year introduces two new categories: Best Use of Social Media and News Podcast of the Year.

The Cathryn Nicholl Award and Young Journalist of the Year are free to enter, with the Young Journalist of the Year offering a £2,500 travel and research bursary to the winner.
