NEOM - PR & Communications Manager

Here at NEOM we have big plans regarding the products and services we provide to our customers in the coming months and years. We are on a mission to elevate the customer experience across all touchpoints, understanding the NEOM customer, anticipating their needs and use data insights to drive our decision making. All marketing and communication activity will have a social-first approach and will support the brand growth as it pivots to a digitally focused business. We are creative, dynamic and aim to disrupt the market, across UK, USA & beyond.  Our products break boundaries and are much loved by our community – many of our customers citing they can’t live without NEOM. As a result of new international markets and growing activities, we are bolstering our PR gang so that we can spread the word far and wide and truly improve the wellbeing of the nation. 

The PR & Communications Manager will support the Head of Content in all activities relating to PR, the role will have direct accountability for the overall PR strategy for the brand in all territories. The role is disruptive, fast paced and pivotal in growing the brand to achieve our goal of improving the nation’s wellbeing. The potential candidate will have a strong network of premium media titles, influencers and 3rd parties to drive the brand message. The individual will be hungry to seek out new opportunities for the brand, able to work across the business to find new “stories” and passionate about wellbeing. The ability to craft broader, impactful brand stories is critical. 

Objectives and responsibilities

  • For the development and execution of the PR strategy across all territories, budget and reporting on ROI
  • Identifying the best routes and approaches across international territories and be able to execute them
  • Able to craft disruptive brand stories that get cut through from a consumer perspective and outstanding “media moments” 
  • Be able to elevate the profile of the brand, the founders and our expertise
  • Nurture & grow high-profile influencer network and relationships to achieve reach for the brand 
  • Able to identify the “right” PR activities and channels to grow the brand, it’s awareness and general awareness of the category. Work alongside the Content team to ensure the brand pillars and values are communicated and upheld and ensure all assets required are produced. 
  • Responsible for ensuring all PR activities are executed to a high standard, in line with expectations and on-time
  • Manage the PR budget and ROI reporting, providing opportunities to for improvement 
  • Management of the PR direct reports, developing their skills set and ensuring they are highly competent and motivated 
  • Deliver best in class events and experiences that drive both PR and consumer interest
  • Input into the wider marketing strategy on how to bring to life our products and benefits, driving a strong emotional connection.

Key skills required

  • Highly creative and be able to spot trends to create disruptive ideas, activities and PR campaigns that get demonstrable cut through 
  • Able to work with an integrated 360 marketing mindset with an understanding of how PR stories can amplify paid media 
  • Able to liaise with all media through a mix of channels from traditional to digital and social 
  • Be able to execute a corporate PR strategy alongside consumer strategy to support the business growth objectives (likely working with dedicated agency) 
  • An excellent leader of people, with strong management and communication skills. Able to coach and develop the team around them. 
  • Proven record of talent management 
  • Strong network of media contacts across UK, USA & ideally Europe 
  • Proven experience of working in a commercially-focused DTC, product led business  
  • Able to assess data, identify trends and gather insights 
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage areas of a PR calendar 
  • An understanding of US & European markets would be a distinct advantage
