The Role: To support the communications practice with research and preparation for client work and the building and development of communications documents, media outreach and any relevant client deliverables. 
Reports to: Account Manager level
Location: Milan or London

Activities/duties include:

• Drafting press materials – press releases, briefing documents and website copy
• Preparing reporting documents - status reports, meeting notes, contact reports
• Producing engaging copy for client-owned social media channels 
• Compiling press clippings for client campaigns and updating tracking tools accordingly 
• Pitching press releases and feature ideas by phone or email to national, regional and trade journalists, across print, broadcast and online, to interest them in covering clients’ stories 
• Managing the press and influencer database and event guest lists 
• Media Audits for clients
• Demonstrating creative thinking – scanning newspapers daily for newsjacking opportunities and bring new ideas to account teams 
• Implementing account administration – liaising with suppliers, setting up meetings and conference calls with clients or partners  

Skills: 

• Good written and spoken English with attention to detail for grammar, spelling and proof-reading
• Research and reporting skills 
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Preferred experience, but not essential:

• An understanding of social media platforms and how to optimise communications for client-owned channels
