The role will provide a key support function for all PR & Communication activities, assisting the PR team to help achieve press coverage across both brands and PA/Administrative support.

  • Support the Head of PR and Press Officer in achieving the department’s key objectives
  • Support the PR Team in the organisation of all press launches/events and trips
  • Be the key point of contact for all journalists’ requests
  • Manage press requests and product mail outs
  • Daily review of media (magazines, newspapers, online, blogs) for coverage and articles of interest and present in PR meeting
  • Ensure prompt send out of all new launches to the appropriate audience
  • Oversee and update the contact databases on a regular basis
  • Manage all press cuttings in terms of collation, presentation and distribution
  • Prepare monthly editorial results
  • For each campaign compile a press coverage report and cost/spend report
  • Control press product cupboard stock and efficiently order stock for launches and send-outs
  • Day-to-day administrative duties/PA support to Head of PR including raising purchase orders, booking meeting rooms
  • Ensuring the PR office is presentable at all times and that the sample cupboard is tidy and easy to navigate
  • Compile competitor activity report each month detailing new launches & promotions
  • Support with writing press releases and eblasts


Key Competences / Technical skills:

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong organisational skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritise projects on a day-to-day basis
Be reactive to journalists needs
Possess acute attention to detail
Competent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes / Outlook
Good team player
Flexible and able to work well in a fast paced pressurised environment
Eager to learn and willingness to get ‘stuck-in’


1 year's relevant PR experience (preferably Beauty industry)
A passion for PR and a love of the media
Graduate calibre
